Instructions for setting up Micro Perfect Registration System:

1. Start with the Micro Perfect Grid Board:

Place one sheet of Mylar carrier sheet onto the grid board. The holes on the Mylar carrier sheet will perfectly match the pins on the grid board. Take the plastic (self-adhesive), hole strengtheners and them slip over each pin and fasten to the Mylar sheet. "This is a very important step because Mylar carrier sheets will expand after a few times on and off the pins." Tape the right side of the Mylar carrier sheet to the right side of the grid board with masking tape. Align your first piece of artwork. Tape the artwork to the Mylar carrier sheet with clear tape. Never use masking tape.

For the second piece of artwork, repeat steps above. The second piece of masking tape should be in a different location. After the artwork is set up, remove the second Mylar carrier sheet with your artwork taped to it and repeat this method for all additional artwork until all positives are ready for burning. Use a maximum of two sheets of Mylar carrier sheets on the pre-registration grid board at one time.

2. Mount each positive to register holes on Micro Bar on screen.

  1. Place the registration tabs through the holes, on the Mylar carrier sheet, and gently push the tabs into the holes on the Micro Perfect Bar Attachment.
  2. Tape the opposite edge of the Mylar flat against the screen using a clear tape to insure it is perfectly flat.

3. Burning screens.
    1. Burn screen according to your standard procedures.

4. Wash out screens.

    1. Remove the clear tape.
    2. Remove the registration tabs.
    3. Remove the Mylar carrier sheet with artwork attached and wash screen according to your standard procedures.

5. Setting up the press.

    1. Align and level press arms.
    2. Set the Micro Perfect Shirt board and mount onto the press arm.

Do not tighten yet!

6. Setting up the head of the press.

Lower the print head and place screen into clamp. Align the bar on the screen to the registration pins on the shirt board. Tighten screen firmly. Tighten center knob on shirt board mount first; next tighten the two side knobs simultaneously.

7. Mounting successive screens.

a. Repeat Step Six through tightening screen firmly.

TIP:

Place a T-shirt onto the shirt board. Place the Mylar carrier sheet on top of the T-shirt. Position the registration holes of the Mylar carrier sheet onto the T-shirt board’s registration pins. Adjust shirt to exact position to where you want the design to be printed. Use a pencil to draw a line along the edge of the neck of the T-shirt. Remove Mylar carrier sheet and begin to print in perfect registration.
